South Korea trip--day 4

On day 4 of our trip, we took a day trip to Sokcho and Seoraksan National Park.  The bus ride was a couple of hours long, so we got to experience our first South Korean rest area.  Definitely a hopping place--a convenience store, lots of places to eat, and great views.

When we got to Sokcho, we waited for another bus to take us to the national park.  We enjoyed an air show that was happening at the time.

Seoraksan National Park was beautiful!  I only wish we had had more time to hike and explore--we only got to see a small piece of it.  We had a picnic lunch before taking the tram up the side of a mountain.  Once up, we were able to hike up a little farther to see some amazing views!  This was really our only time on our entire trip that we felt like we needed sweatshirts--it was a nice feeling!

We explored a little more once we came back down the tram, then it was time to wait for the bus to take us back to Sokcho.

We had a little more time before our bus back to Seoul, so we headed down to the beach to stick our toes in the East Sea.  We also found some yummy teriyaki chicken skewers on our way to the beach.
