Fishing 2019

We enjoyed another week up at Bud's in June!  Dave headed up first on Friday, the girls rode up with Dave's parents on Saturday, and I drove up on Sunday after going to graduation the night before.  I wasn't feeling well most of the week, but we still had a good time.  The weather was chilly most days, but the girls and Dave's mom did some swimming a couple of days.  Dave's mom, the girls, and I also enjoyed a rainy afternoon trip to the movies and another afternoon trip to a new toy/candy store in a nearby town.

The Greatest Show

The girls had a fun time performing in their dance recitals over the weekend!  The theme was "The Greatest Show".  Abby performed in two recitals, and Norah in just one.

Personal Day

Because of the Polar Vortex in January when we were on our Florida trip, I was able to get back four personal days at school.  I used one to go on a field trip with Norah, and I needed to use one more before school got out or I would lose it.  I took a Friday off to attend Abby's track and field day, which just happened to coincide with Norah's first grade talent show.

Abby had fun hanging out with her friends at fifth grade track and field, even though doing the actual events wasn't really her cup of tea.  The weather threatened rain, but it held off.  I enjoyed going to lunch with some of my fifth grade mom friends before Norah's talent show.

Norah decided that she wanted to play piano in her talent show, so she played "Jolly Old St. Nicholas".  Unfortunately, she put her left hand in the wrong place on the piano, so it didn't quite go as well as she had practiced, but she kept going and tried her best!  It was such a fun day spent focusing on the girls.

All-district band concert

All of the fifth grade band students in the district came together in May to perform at the high school.  After a school year of many, many snow/cold days, we weren't sure what it would sound like, but they really did a great job!
