Pumpkin Patch

It's been quite a few years since we've visited Barten's Pumpkin Patch, but this year, we didn't make it down to my Uncle Steve's to pick out pumpkins.  We enjoyed a quiet evening after school picking out pumpkins and checking out the fun activities!

Girls' weekend

Over Dozinky weekend, we had Miriam, Mara, Sarah, Gavin, and Caleb up for "Girls' Weekend".  The girls walked in the parade, so we went to that, then visited the candy store and the ninja park in Jordan.  On Sunday, we also took a trip to the park near our house and had a surprise visit from the ice cream truck.  Lots of fun family time, but the weekend went way too fast!

Back to school!

The girls started 4th and 8th grades this year--Abby's last year of middle school!

California trip--days 5 & 6 (San Francisco, Sausalito, Stanford, and Winchester Mystery House)

We drove back to San Francisco the next day and did some things we didn't have time for the first day in San Francisco, like driving across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito:

We had fish & chips for lunch, walked through some shops, and explored down by the water before heading back to San Francisco.  We walked around Chinatown, and made sure to stop by Ghirardelli for one last shake for Abby before leaving the city.

In the evening, we drove down to Palo Alto to visit the Stanford campus.  Abby loved the big bookstore, and we enjoyed seeing campus and hearing my dad's stories from his time at Stanford.

On our last day, we visited some old family friends in San Carlos, then decided we had just enough time for a tour of the Winchester Mystery House.  It was a fun thing to squeeze in before flying out!

So thankful for the memories made with Abby and my dad!
