Quarantine--June

June is typically filled with finishing the school year, VBS, etc., but with being home and things canceled this year, we enjoyed some extra time together at home.

New pool!

Norah welcomed Dave and Abby home from fishing (they stayed an extra weekend)

Fresh haircuts!

Biking to the park with Jack

Beautiful day to visit Riverband Nature Center

Fun at the dog park

Sadie went to the groomer for the first time
Abby learned how to play cribbage

Camping in the basement!

Norah got into the Puppy Place series, and has now read almost 40 out of 60 books in the series!  When we go to bed early enough, she will read one entire book before bed...

Making fudge on National Fudge Day

Sadly, our big tree out front had to come down...we lost a big limb in some wind and Dave discovered a big crack in the tree.

Norah came along with me for a Couch to 5K run/walk!  She was so hot when we got home that she jumped in the pool fully clothed!

Fishing ~ June 2020

After being home for over almost 3 months, it was nice to have our fishing trip to look forward to.  Unfortunately, just before we were supposed to leave, Dave's mom called and said she had a fever.  She was tested for Covid, but she and Dave's dad couldn't come up until she got the results back.  Luckily, it turned out to just be a UTI and her Covid test was negative, so they were able to come up just a day later than planned.

Sadie was very excited to be able to join us this year!
First night supper without Grandma and Grandpa--so strange!

Cass Clay ice cream!

We had all kinds of weather up north--from warm the first couple of days, so we were able to enjoy swimming to chilly enough for hats and sweatshirts.

Grandpa Nass found some great travel activities--perfect for lazy afternoons in the loft!

We loved campfire evenings!

Norah lost a tooth on our trip!

Helping Grandma make breakfast

Paddleboating at Rose Ridge

A fun game Norah created--teams had to use materials to build different things--this was a tower

Rose Ridge Resort

We had a great time--especially the last couple of days when we borrowed Sandy's and Mary's kayaks and taught the girls how to kayak.  Abby loved kayaking on her own, and Norah even did a little by herself close to shore.

After swimming (and reassuring the girls that there were no leeches in the lake), Abby discovered a leech between her toes!
