Fishing ~ June 2020

After being home for over almost 3 months, it was nice to have our fishing trip to look forward to.  Unfortunately, just before we were supposed to leave, Dave's mom called and said she had a fever.  She was tested for Covid, but she and Dave's dad couldn't come up until she got the results back.  Luckily, it turned out to just be a UTI and her Covid test was negative, so they were able to come up just a day later than planned.

Sadie was very excited to be able to join us this year!
First night supper without Grandma and Grandpa--so strange!

Cass Clay ice cream!

We had all kinds of weather up north--from warm the first couple of days, so we were able to enjoy swimming to chilly enough for hats and sweatshirts.

Grandpa Nass found some great travel activities--perfect for lazy afternoons in the loft!

We loved campfire evenings!

Norah lost a tooth on our trip!

Helping Grandma make breakfast

Paddleboating at Rose Ridge

A fun game Norah created--teams had to use materials to build different things--this was a tower

Rose Ridge Resort

We had a great time--especially the last couple of days when we borrowed Sandy's and Mary's kayaks and taught the girls how to kayak.  Abby loved kayaking on her own, and Norah even did a little by herself close to shore.

After swimming (and reassuring the girls that there were no leeches in the lake), Abby discovered a leech between her toes!

Quarantine--May

Special mail from friends--a May Day box

Sadie even got some mail--a box from 1-800-PetMeds had a bone inside--she was so excited!

Lots of bike rides!

The library finally opened!

We occasionally drove through and picked up school lunches for something different

Making stepping stones

Beautiful day spent in the screen shelter out back

New hammock for Mother's Day

Norah helped me test out a new game for my classroom called Cat Crimes--it's a good one!

Norah will read anywhere, even in a box!

New subscription box from Grandma and Grandpa Nass for their birthdays...Doodle Box.  Fun projects that they can do together!

Culver's drive through for National Cheeseburger Day

Month two of piano lessons by Mom...someone usually ends up crying...

One of Abby's last week of school projects was to cover our driveway with sidewalk chalk messages

Last day of 6th grade!

So many awards

Abby's advisor, Ms. Parvey, stopped by to drop off gifts and awards

Last day of 2nd grade!

Norah's teacher, Mr. Bachmeier, stopped by to drop off an end of the year gift

So proud of this Academic All-Star!

Surprise from my PTO--so sweet!

Empty classroom in early May...

We lost a big limb one windy night...miss the shade from this tree!

I was buying a piece of posterboard to make a sign for our 5th grade send-off/drive through, and Norah really wanted a piece for herself.  Love what she created!
