Shipwrecked
We had another great week of VBS! This year's theme was "Shipwrecked". It was Abby's first year volunteering, and she and a couple of friends helped me out in the Imagination Station. We stayed very busy each day! Norah really enjoyed all of the activities throughout the week, and both girls had fun performing in Thursday night's performance.

Track & Field
Norah tried a new activity this summer--Track & Field camp. Due to a weather cancellation and our fishing trip, she missed a few sessions, but overall, really enjoyed it. She learned how to do the field events, and had fun competing in the races. During the last meet, my parents were able to drive up to watch her events. For both meets we were able to make it to, we were amazed that Norah ran the 800 with some of the older girls. She definitely has energy and stamina!

Sky Zone
Abby is trying something new at our church this summer called Summer Stretch. This is for middle schoolers, and they do a service project in the morning, with a fun activity in the afternoon. For her first one, our youth pastor called me when we were on our way to church, asking if I could be a last minute driver and chaperone for the afternoon activity. Because it was so last minute, Norah got to come along as well. In the morning, the group made sandwiches for the homeless. Our first stop in the afternoon was to drop off the sandwiches at a place that collects and delivers them. After that, I drove the group to SkyZone for the afternoon. Norah and Abby both had a great time, and I survived driving the 15-passenger van to Edina!

Fishing 2019
We enjoyed another week up at Bud's in June! Dave headed up first on Friday, the girls rode up with Dave's parents on Saturday, and I drove up on Sunday after going to graduation the night before. I wasn't feeling well most of the week, but we still had a good time. The weather was chilly most days, but the girls and Dave's mom did some swimming a couple of days. Dave's mom, the girls, and I also enjoyed a rainy afternoon trip to the movies and another afternoon trip to a new toy/candy store in a nearby town.
