Academic All-Star

This year, we celebrated Abby as an academic all-star.  Her teacher nominated her for the award, so we attended an award ceremony at the Mall of America.  At the ceremony, Abby correctly answered a Minnesota trivia question and won a drawstring bag with some coupons inside, as well as four free state fair tickets.  She was pretty excited!  After the ceremony, we went to Barnes and Noble so the girls could pick out their free books from the summer reading program.  Abby went on the swing ride at Nickelodeon Universe, and she and Norah both rode the Pepsi rollercoaster with Dave's dad.  After the rides, we met up with our friends, the Pakiz family, for lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings.  We enjoyed celebrating all of Abby's accomplishments in 5th grade!
